White Mulled Wine

Recipe from Plonk Beer and Wine Store at the Fyshwick Markets.

Plonk is one of Canberra’s most recognised liquor stores, with a huge selection of both Aussie and international craft beers, wines from all around Australia and major international wine regions, as well as a great range of local and imported ciders and spirits. Visit them each Thursday to Sunday at the Fyshwick Markets.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Serves 4


1 bottle white wine, Plonk recommend Calabria Pinot Bianco, available in store

1 orange, juiced

1 lemon, juiced

2 mandarins, juiced

1 red apple, sliced

1 cinnamon stick

5 cloves

2-3 tbsp brown sugar, to taste


In a medium saucepan, combine the wine, orange juice, lemon juice and mandarin juice.

Add the apple pieces, cinnamon, cloves and sugar, to taste.

Over a low heat, let the wine infuse for 30 minutes, ensuring it does not boil.

Strain and serve hot.
