Open Anzac Day

The Markets are open this Anzac Day, with gates opening from 7:00am to 5:30pm.

To mark this special day there will be a free sausage sizzle at Unique Meats, with gold coin donations going towards Legacy.

There will also be free coffee for all veterans at Piccolo Market Coffee, live music out the front of Plonk and Wiffens from 11:00-2:00pm and an Australian and New Zealand beer tasting at Plonk from 12:00-3:00pm.

The Fyshwick Markets will match all funds raised on the day.

Blueberries eating well but look for prices to rise after frosts in Coffs. CITRUS Daisy, Satsuma, Imperial mandarins in season. Tangelos have started. Regular and organic navel oranges. IN SEASON Baby leeks, celeriac, silverbeet, kale, baby turnips and wombok. GOOD VALUE Lebanese cucumber. ASPARAGUS Imported only. AVOCADOES Improving. BEANS Peas great value and eating this week. GARLIC Tassie red garlic and regular Aussie in season. ZUCCHINI Local zucchini still available but affected by cooler weather. FLOWERS Tulips, poppies, jonquils and early cheer in season.
