10th Year of the Truffle Festival

For 10 years the Fyshwick Markets have been proudly supporting the Truffle Festival  the ultimate winter foodie event. Each year from June to August individual events are held across the region highlighting the rare Black Winter Truffle. Discover, taste and experience the magic of these highly prized gems at our participating retailers:

At Deli Planet you will find Fresh Truffle for sale, Fresh made Truffle Pizza in the café, Truffle cheese – Gouda & Brie, Truffle Salami, Truffle salt, honey, glaze, oil’s, mustard, aioli, tapenade, salsa, pesto, balsamic vinegar.

Mart Deli will be selling truffled brie, butter and eggs as well as Fresh truffle.

Wiffens will have fresh Truffle for sale, Truffle butter and Truffle eggs.

  • WHAT’S IN SEASON: FRUIT | IN SEASON Apples, pears, mandarins, navel oranges, limes, pomegranates, feijoa, persimmons and quinces. BERRIES QLD strawberries improving this week. Blueberries eating well but look for prices to rise after frosts in Coffs. CITRUS Daisy, Satsuma, Imperial mandarins in season. Tangelos have started. Regular and organic navel oranges. Limes great value. FIGS Last week(s) for figs for a while. RHUBARB Great bunches and great value. ROCKMELONS Scarce. VEGETABLES | TRUFFLES Season has started. IN SEASON Baby leeks, celeriac, silverbeet, kale, baby turnips and wombok. GOOD VALUE Lebanese cucumber. ASPARAGUS Imported only. AVOCADOES Improving. BEANS Peas great value and eating this week. GARLIC Tassie red garlic and regular Aussie in season. ZUCCHINI Local zucchini still available but affected by cooler weather. FLOWERS Tulips, poppies, jonquils and early cheer in season.
